Day 13
This morning I didn't wake up early enough to give me enough time to get ready properly, but I did manage to eat the last bowl of chicken noodle soup before I went to work. For lunch I had a cup of chicken tortilla soup, a half chopped chicken Cobb salad, and an apple. For my post work snack I had a cinnamon crunch bagel sans the cinnamon crunch (big mistake, even without the topping it was 10 PointsPlus!), and a serving of Wheat Thins with a wedge of Weight Watchers white cheddar. I was really tired after work, and all that I wanted to do was take a nap, but instead I got my butt off the couch and went to the Colvin. Since it's Spring break the gym was relatively empty, which was great! I started out on the stationary bike with 15 minutes of fat burn, 15 minutes of cardio, and a cool down of 5 minutes. Afterwards I moved to the StairMaster where I used the fat burn setting for 12 minutes. At this point I was practically drenched in sweat. After that I used both of the hip abductors with 100 reps each. Then I used the machine where you work your biceps and triceps, for 100 reps. Next I used the Ab Coaster, which was actually pretty fun. I have never used it before, so most of the time I was using I was pretty much just trying to figure out, haha. Finally I did 6 sets of 10 reps of sit ups on the upside down bench thing. I felt pretty accomplished after all of this. Then Kylla asked me if I wanted to have dinner with her, and we ended up going to DaVinci's. I had just one roll instead, of three or four, and ate only about half of my Chicken Pomodoro, which was very tomato-y, and probably one of the healthier choices on the menu. Afterwards, as a late night snack I had a serving of Ben & Jerry's new Greek Frozen Yogurt (Blueberry Vanilla Graham flavored). I feel like, overall, today was actually pretty good. I definitely did not eat perfectly, but I still feel proud of my progress. I have to remember that even though I still am eating some not-so-great-for-you things, it's a lot better to eat them in moderation and work out, than to scarf them down and not work out at all. I know that I will definitely have to keep working on eating better if I want to meet my goals, but I know that I can do it. During my work out I had to pray for strength, I know that He heard me, and I know that with Him anything is possible.
